How to enter the address
Platform guides for Shopify, Amazon, Etsy and eBay
After signing the contract you receive your Berlin address. Then you enter it in your sales channels at the places below, no more than 10 minutes per platform.
Shopify
Change the imprint in Shopify
Shopify Admin → Settings → Legal.
Scroll to Impressum and click Create from template, or edit the existing text.
Replace the address block with your Space Shack address (Akazienstraße 3a, 10823 Berlin). Everything else stays.
Save. Shopify publishes the updated imprint text automatically on all connected pages.
If you previously used Shopify's imprint generator, overwrite the address there as well and save again.
Shopify itself does not store the address centrally. The imprint is a legal-text template you fill yourself. After the update, check your shop page /pages/impressum: the new address should be visible.
Amazon Seller
Change the imprint in Seller Central
Seller Central → Settings (top right) → Account Info.
Open section Imprint & Seller Information (not to be confused with Business Address).
Replace the imprint address with your Space Shack address. Everything else (VAT ID, commercial register, authorised representative) stays.
Save. Amazon reviews the change automatically, usually live immediately, max 24h.
Note: Amazon maintains a separate Return Address. That is not the imprint and does not need to be changed.
If Amazon classified you as a private seller, the imprint field may be hidden. In that case switch the account type to Business first (Seller Central → Settings → Account Info).
Etsy
Update the imprint on Etsy
Shop Manager → Settings → Info & Appearance.
Scroll to Legal Information for Sellers in the EU.
Enter your Space Shack address in the Business address field. Keep other fields (commercial register, VAT ID) unchanged.
Save. Etsy shows the information publicly on your shop homepage in the Legal information section.
Verify: open your shop URL in incognito mode and scroll to the bottom. The new address should be visible.
Etsy has in the past handled the imprint field differently. If the fields are missing, contact Etsy support and point to the EU obligation under § 5 DDG.
eBay
Change the imprint on eBay as a business seller
My eBay → Account Settings → Seller Information.
Open section Legal Information (visible only on business accounts).
Enter your Space Shack address in the imprint field. VAT ID and commercial register stay.
Save. The change is visible within minutes on all your active and future listings.
If your account is listed as Private: switch to Business first. The imprint field appears after.
eBay shows the imprint directly on each listing and your seller page. Verify after the update by opening a listing in incognito mode.

What online sellers ask first
Yes. The imprint under § 5 DDG requires an address at which you are established and reachable. The Space Shack address in Berlin-Schöneberg is a real office building with staffed reception, company directory and shared mailbox, which meets that requirement. Enter the address in the Shopify imprint template and you are compliant. Important: your other mandatory details (name, VAT ID, commercial register for a GmbH) still need to be maintained.
No. Pure PO box and c/o addresses do not meet § 5 DDG, because nobody there actually receives mail on your behalf in a way you can rely on. If a competitor or authority challenges your imprint, you risk fines up to €50,000 plus an Abmahnung.
No. A letterbox company is an entity without real economic activity, usually set up for tax avoidance. You run a real shop with real revenue. You only rent an address because you don't want your home address public. That is legal and common. The GwG identification we do also documents that your business is real, which helps banks and tax authorities during audits.
You register your trade where you actually work (usually your home address, which stays with you and is not public). The imprint is independent of that: it shows the address where you are reachable. The two addresses may be different. If you want to move the company seat itself to Berlin (e.g. for a new GmbH), you need Business Address Pro (€90) with usage confirmation for notary and commercial register.
Usually within 24 hours of enquiry. After contract signature comes the GwG identification (usually the same day, 15 minutes by video), after which you receive the address in writing. From then on, you can enter it in your Shopify, Amazon, Etsy or eBay imprint.

Yes. Invoices to your customers, contracts with suppliers, newsletter imprint, email signature, business cards: you can run all of these on the Space Shack address. Not covered by the Imprint Service: commercial-register entry, a ladungsfähige address for courts and enforcement, and designation as company seat towards the tax office or a bank. For those you need Business Address Pro.
We keep incoming mail for 90 days after contract end. On request we forward it against postage reimbursement. After 90 days, unclaimed mail is destroyed in a GDPR-compliant manner. No cliff, no sudden mail-loss risk.
An imprint address is not a permanent establishment under § 12 AO, as long as you have no fixed workplace there and don't use the premises regularly for business. For you as a seller this means: no additional Berlin trade tax, no permanent-establishment filing with the tax office. Everything stays tax-wise at your existing seat.
Standard parcels up to standard size yes, with a short heads-up. For bulky or heavy shipments we check in advance, as reception has limited storage capacity. If you expect returns from online shops to arrive regularly, please tell us so we can arrange the handling.
If you operate two companies at the same address (e.g. a GmbH and a sole proprietorship for side income), take Business Address Premium (€149), which includes up to two companies at the seat. For a shop with multiple sales channels (Shopify + Amazon + Etsy = one company), one Imprint Service is enough.
Because behind the address is a real building with reception Mon–Fri 9–17, a GwG-certified identification process, and a location that has existed since 2016. Cheap providers sit in rented mass addresses with hundreds of users. For online sellers who have so far borne the consequences of scraping and Abmahnung themselves, this quality is worth the €34 extra.
